The project included the development of a state-of-the-art Change House, Proto Room, Lamp Room, and Laundry.
The Change House stands as a pivotal component, providing a dedicated space for mine workers to change into and out of their work attire, adhering to stringent hygiene and safety protocols. The Proto Room is designed to support the preparation and storage of essential mining equipment, ensuring seamless operations. The Lamp Room serves as a central hub for the inspection, storage, and distribution of safety lamps crucial for underground activities. Additionally, the Laundry facility contributes to worker well-being by providing a facility for cleaning and maintaining workwear.

The STP Mudline and Storage Tank Pipework Project encompassed the installation of 852 meters of 100NB galvanized pipework. This involved mounting the pipes on both newly cast concrete pipe supports and pre-existing supports. The project was divided into six sections, with some sections sharing the same elevation and featuring existing concrete supports. For these sections, we executed drilling operations and installed brackets to maintain pipe alignment. Additionally, certain sections involved road crossings, necessitating partial road closures and the installation of pipes on an existing pipe bridge.
The tank piping segment of the project focused on the installation of outlet, inlet, overflow, and drain connections, linking 20-meter-high tanks to the pipeline.

This initiative involved establishing a 300-man camp, including a diner, dormitories, laundry, commercial kitchen, dining hall, and one and two-bedroom housing units crafted from prefabricated composite panels.


One of the significant challenges faced during this project was the logistical constraints, including the scarcity of materials, tools, and equipment. Everything had to be imported from South Africa, requiring meticulous management to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The project team demonstrated exceptional dedication and perseverance in overcoming these hurdles.
The construction team had to set up operations in an area devoid of existing facilities, highlighting their commitment to establishing the initial support infrastructure. This endeavor showcases not only the technical proficiency in building essential mining support structures but also the resilience and resourcefulness of the construction team in navigating and overcoming significant logistical challenges.
